Travel Med Surg RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care for renal, nephrology, and transplant patients in an acute care hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on a 13-week contract. The unit has 20 beds, 1:6 ratios, Meditech charting, and a Level 1 trauma designation. Kidney transplant and dialysis care are part of the service, with PCT and unit secretary support available.

• Assess and monitor med-surg patients with nephrology and transplant needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Coordinate care for kidney transplant, renal, and dialysis patients
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to maintain safe care
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• Strong med-surg, renal, and nephrology clinical skills
