Travel Med Surg RN in Hilo, HI

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult med-surg care in a hospital unit on a 15-week contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The unit serves adults with a 1:5 ratio and uses Meditech EMR.

• Monitor adult medical-surgical patients and report changes in condition
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies
• Assist with wound care, chest tubes and other common unit procedures
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the electronic record
• Educate patients and families on the plan of care and discharge needs

• Hawaii Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of med surg or higher level of care experience

• ACLS certification
