Travel Med Surg RN in Bethel, AK

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide inpatient nursing care on a med surg unit in Bethel, Alaska for a 13-week contract. The role serves patients from birth through elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health cases. Strong communication, therapeutic communication, and cultural awareness support the work.

• Assess patients and develop nursing care plans
• Implement treatments, medications, and patient education
• Monitor and reassess patient status throughout care
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team
• Support patients with post-surgical and behavioral health needs
• Document care actions and patient responses
• Assist with supervision of unit secretaries and PCTs

• Graduation from an NLN-approved nursing program
• Active Alaska Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing
• Current BLS
• 3 years of nursing experience
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
