Travel Med Surg RN in Arlington, VA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric surgical patients in an adult surgical unit on a 13-week contract in Arlington, Virginia. The unit includes total joint, fracture, general surgery, and medicine patients, and uses Epic Clindoc.

• Provide direct care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Monitor post-surgical and medicine patients for changes in condition
• Assist with NG tubes and surgical drains
• Start and maintain IV access
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Document care accurately in Epic Clindoc
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Active Virginia or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• Epic Clindoc experience

• Orthopedic and general surgery patient care, NG tube management, surgical drain care, and IV insertion
