Travel Med Surg RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for adult medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 36 beds, a 1:6 patient ratio, and uses Meditech charting.

• Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients
• Provide post-operative nursing care
• Perform dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Coordinate with the care team and support patient education
• Document care accurately in the EMR

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Medical-surgical nursing practice

• Familiarity with post-operative patients
• Skill with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
