Travel Med Surg RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for post-operative patients on a hospital med surg unit in Salem, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The unit has 36 beds and uses Meditech charting, with a patient ratio of 1:6.

• Assess and monitor post-operative patients
• Administer ordered medications and IV therapy
• Maintain drains and related patient care needs
• Provide wound care and dressing changes
• Support use of pumps and other bedside equipment
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Current Registered Nurse practice skills
• Experience with adult medical surgical care

• Post-operative patient care
