Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide labor and delivery care in a delivery room of an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit cares for high-risk labor, antepartum, PPROM, PTL on mag, postpartum on mag, and outpatients, with 1:1 to 1:3 ratios. Charting uses Meditech and CPN, and the team has a collaborative nursing approach with supportive leadership.

• Provide bedside care for labor, antepartum, postpartum, and outpatient patients
• Monitor maternal status, fetal tracings, and response to treatment
• Assist with C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, and Doppler assessments
• Administer ordered medications, IV therapy, and oxytocin per unit policy
• Coordinate care with physicians, hospitalists, and the nursing team
• Document assessments, interventions, and education in the charting system

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM-C or AWHONN certification
• Strong fetal monitoring, maternal assessment, and obstetric care skills

• Circulating C-section experience
• High-risk LDR experience
