Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support labor, delivery, triage, and recovery care in an acute care hospital in Salem, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The unit has 17 inpatient beds and 2 triage spaces, with 1:1 to 1:2 staffing and Meditech and Centricity charting.

• Assess laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal and maternal status and interpret strips
• Assist with vaginal, cesarean, vacuum, and forceps deliveries
• Support epidural placement and cesarean recovery care
• Administer blood products, nitrous, and obstetric medications
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, and delivery room setup

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM
• Labor and delivery experience
• Circulator experience in cesarean birth care
• Post-anesthesia recovery experience with spinal anesthesia
• IV insertion, blood draw, and vaginal exam skills
