Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for obstetric patients in a hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, for a 13-week contract. The unit serves high-risk and low-risk births with 8 private labor rooms, 4 triage beds, and Epic charting.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status
• Assess labor progress and triage obstetric patients
• Circulate for cesarean sections
• Start and maintain IV access
• Recover patients after cesarean birth
• Document care and coordinate with the team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending at start
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Mother/Baby experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Circulating for cesarean sections, fetal monitoring, IV insertion, and C-section recovery

• ACLS
• Antepartum and high-risk obstetric care
• Newborn assessment and baby-friendly protocols
• Magnesium sulfate therapy and postpartum hemorrhage management
