Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for mothers and newborns in an acute care hospital maternity unit on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 9 LDR rooms, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, and 23 wellborn nursery spaces, with ratios of 3 couplets to 1 nurse and 1:1 active labor, and uses Centricity Perinatal and Meditech.

• Provide care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Assist with OBED triage, inductions, and birth response needs
• Support cesarean sections in circulator, first assist, or scrub roles as needed
• Monitor active labor, Pitocin, and epidural patients with fetal monitoring equipment
• Document care in perinatal and medical record systems
• Collaborate with midwives and the maternity care team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• OB experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certification

• Cesarean section circulator experience
• Cesarean section first assist experience
• Cesarean section scrub experience
