Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support labor, delivery, and triage care in a hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. Epic charting, 8 private labor rooms, 4 triage beds, and a 1:2 ratio guide the work with high- and low-risk obstetric patients.

• Provide labor and delivery care for obstetric patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in condition
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support obstetric procedures
• Perform triage and assist with urgent assessments
• Administer medications and maintain IV access
• Recover patients after cesarean birth
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Circulating for cesarean sections, fetal heart rate interpretation, IV therapy, and venipuncture
• Mother/Baby experience and Epic charting system experience

• ACLS
• Antepartum and obstetrical triage experience
• Magnesium sulfate therapy, newborn assessment, and postpartum hemorrhage care
• Baby-friendly protocols, circumcision support, and tubal ligation assistance
