Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide postpartum and newborn care in a hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, on a 12-week contract. The unit serves neonates, averages 10 patients daily, has 14 beds, and uses Cerner. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess postpartum mothers and newborns
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Support vaginal and cesarean recovery, including fundal and lochia checks
• Educate parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge instructions
• Assist with circumcision care, phototherapy, and newborn screening
• Monitor for hypoglycemia, thermoregulation issues, and neonatal abstinence symptoms

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• Accredited nursing program
• 1 year of labor and delivery or mother-baby experience
• Cerner charting experience
• Clinical skills in postpartum and newborn care

• Special Care Nursery or Level II nursery experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
