Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Mother-Baby Post Partum Registered Nurse will care for postpartum and couplet care patients in an acute care hospital in Lafayette, Indiana on a 12-week contract. The unit cares for neonates, has 14 beds, an average daily census of 10, and uses Cerner. First time travelers are welcome.

• Provide postpartum and couplet care for mothers and newborns
• Assess newborns and support breastfeeding, milk storage, and infant identification
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Monitor recovery after vaginal and cesarean delivery
• Educate parents on discharge care, cord care, and circumcision care
• Support care for newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, and thermoregulation

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of nursing experience
• Cerner charting experience

• Special Care Nursery or Level II experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
