Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital in Eureka, California on a 13-week contract. The unit cares for high-risk obstetric patients, has 11 rooms and 15 beds, and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess labor progress, fetal status, and maternal condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Monitor antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Support breastfeeding, newborn thermoregulation, and parent teaching
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting experience
• Core skills in fetal monitoring, IV therapy, and postpartum care

• High-risk obstetric triage
• Cesarean section circulation and recovery
• Multiple births and newborn assessment
• Neonatal abstinence syndrome care
