Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital for a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit cares for high-risk obstetric patients, uses Epic, and includes 11 rooms and 15 beds. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor labor progress and maternal and fetal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Support postpartum recovery, newborn assessment, and couplet care
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products
• Perform fetal monitoring, sterile exams, and bedside assessments
• Educate parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Ability to care for high-risk obstetric patients and newborns

• Amniocentesis support
• Triage of obstetrical patients
• Hemorrhage and shock management
