Per Diem Labor and Delivery RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Per Diem Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support labor and delivery care in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California. The unit uses Allscripts EMD charting and cares for patients with comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hemorrhage risk.

• Assess laboring patients and respond to changes in maternal and fetal status
• Assist with circulating C-sections and other obstetric procedures
• Monitor and document care in the charting system
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as ordered
• Coordinate care with the obstetric team for complex patients
• Educate patients and families on labor and delivery care

• Current California Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• EPIC experience
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Circulating C-section experience and strong clinical assessment skills in labor and delivery
