Per Diem Labor and Delivery RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Per Diem Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for labor and delivery patients in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California. The unit serves low- and high-risk obstetric patients across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and postpartum areas and uses Allscripts for charting.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Manage IV therapy, Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips
• Perform fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal heart rate patterns
• Provide postpartum assessment and newborn thermoregulation support
• Complete APGAR scoring and blood product administration

• California Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced fetal monitoring
• EPIC experience
• Strong labor and delivery assessment skills

• Allscripts charting system experience
