Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit serves high-risk obstetric patients in an 11-bed setting with an average daily census of 15-20 and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and maternal status
• Assist with vaginal births and cesarean sections
• Circulate for cesarean deliveries and support recovery
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products
• Educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge teaching
• Document care and coordinate with the care team in Epic

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics, cesarean circulation, fetal monitoring, and newborn care

• Obstetrical triage
• High-risk antepartum care
• Hemorrhage and shock management
• Forceps or vacuum extraction support
