Travel Intermediate Care RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for telemetry patients in an acute care hospital intermediate care unit on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The 37-bed unit uses Meditech and typically staffs 1:6 ratios, with 1:4 for heart cath patients. The unit supports telemetry-focused care with pumps and chest tubes.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and patient status
• Administer medications and manage IV drips
• Assess intermediate care patients and respond to changes
• Assist with heart cath recovery and post-procedure monitoring
• Maintain central lines, chest tubes and pump-based therapies
• Document care in the electronic medical record and coordinate with the team

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 1 year of hospital telemetry experience
• Strong critical thinking and independent practice skills

• Prior Meditech experience
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
