Travel Intermediate Care RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will provide care for surgical and trauma patients in an intermediate care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit has 12 beds, an average daily census of 10, and uses Epic.

• Monitor telemetry and recognize rhythm changes
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
• Administer blood products, heparin, and IV insulin protocols
• Care for central lines, PICCs, arterial lines, ports, and peripheral IVs
• Support oxygen therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with chest tubes, drains, wound care, feeding tubes, and bladder irrigation
• Coordinate care with rapid response, respiratory therapy, and dialysis services

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, current or pending
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1 year of intermediate care or step-down experience
• Epic charting experience

• Cardiac telemetry experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma level I or II experience
