Travel Intermediate Care RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will provide care for surgical and trauma patients in a hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, averages 10 patients daily, has 12 beds, and uses Epic.

• Monitor telemetry and identify rhythm changes
• Manage IV drips, insulin protocols, and vasoactive infusions
• Provide care for central lines, PICCs, ports, and peripheral IVs
• Assist with chest tubes, surgical drains, wound care, and wound vacs
• Support patients with tracheostomy care and noninvasive oxygen therapy
• Administer blood products and monitor procedural sedation
• Coordinate care for trauma, renal, spinal cord, and post-operative patients

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of intermediate care experience
• 1:3 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Cardiac telemetry experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or II experience
