Travel Intermediate Care RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for thoracic, cardiac, and vascular surgical patients in a hospital step-down unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The unit uses Epic charting and serves adults and geriatrics in acute telemetry and IMU beds with advanced monitoring, drips, and post-op recovery needs.

• Monitor post-op cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients on telemetry
• Assess rhythm changes, hemodynamic status, and respiratory needs
• Manage arterial lines, chest tubes, drains, and related monitoring devices
• Administer and titrate nurse-driven drips per unit practice
• Perform ECGs and support anticoagulation and glucose management protocols
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other support teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending allowed
• BLS certification
• 2 years of nursing experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management skills
• Epic charting experience

• ACLS certification
• Level I trauma experience
• Previous charge experience
