Travel Intermediate Care RN in Denver, CO

A Travel Pediatric Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for pediatric step-down patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Denver, Colorado. The unit has 36 private rooms, uses Meditech charting, and commonly sees 1:3 to 1:4 ratios with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion and chest tube care.

• Monitor pediatric step-down patients and respond to changes in condition
• Assist with high flow oxygen therapy and respiratory support
• Provide care for spinal fusion and chest tube patients
• Start and maintain IV access, feeding tubes, Foley catheters and NG tubes
• Perform phlebotomy and support bedside procedures
• Coordinate with the charge nurse, PCTs and care team

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
• 1 year of current pediatric Registered Nurse experience
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Comfort with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion and chest tube care

• Prior Meditech charting experience
• Multiple years of travel Registered Nurse experience
