Travel Intermediate Care RN in Boston, MA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will provide care on a neuro intermediate unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Boston, Massachusetts. The unit has 18 intermediate beds and 18 general neuroscience beds, uses Epic charting, and cares for post-op neurosurgical and acute stroke patients with arterial lines, EVDs, lumbar drains and vasoactive infusions.

• Monitor neurological status and report changes
• Manage arterial lines, EVDs and lumbar drains
• Administer tPA and vasoactive infusions as ordered
• Care for post-op neurosurgical and thrombectomy patients
• Coordinate with the care team on stroke cases
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in Epic

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 3+ years related work experience
• Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains and arterial lines
• Basic web-based application navigation
