Travel Intermediate Care RN in Springfield, MA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital intermediate care unit on a 13-week contract in Springfield, Massachusetts. The unit is split between medical-tele and step-down care with 42 beds and ratios of 1:3 for intermediate care and 1:6 for medical patients, serving adults with COPD exacerbation, DKA, sepsis and respiratory failure.

• Monitor intermediate care and medical telemetry patients for changes in condition
• Assess respiratory and cardiac status and report concerns promptly
• Manage care for patients using trachs, vents, high-flow NC, BiPAP and cardiac drips
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient progress
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of RN experience
• Intermediate care or step-down nursing experience
• Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow NC, BiPAP, telemetry and cardiac drips
