Travel Intermediate Care RN in Atlanta, GA

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for intermediate medical patients in an acute care hospital step-down unit in Atlanta, Georgia on a 16-week contract. The unit supports high-risk respiratory and cardiac patients, including thoracic, hepatobiliary, and head and neck surgery cases. Patients may need oxygen support from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow.

• Assess and monitor intermediate care patients with respiratory and cardiac needs
• Administer medications and manage nursing interventions
• Track changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Support postoperative care for thoracic and related surgical patients
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient status and responses to treatment

• Georgia Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of recent intermediate care experience
• AHA BLS and ACLS
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
• Experience caring for respiratory and cardiac patients

• NIHSS
