Travel ICU RN in West Hollywood, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a hospital ICU on a 13-week contract in West Hollywood, California. The unit serves adults and geriatric patients in a 24-bed setting with Epic charting and high-acuity cardiac, neuro, respiratory failure and transplant cases. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Manage arterial lines and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Support ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Administer blood products and IV insulin protocols
• Perform central line care, IV access and phlebotomy

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 2 years of ICU experience
• 400-bed-or-larger hospital experience
• Pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring experience
• Teaching hospital experience and prior travel experience

• CCRN
• Chest tube insertion and removal; FloTrac/Vigileo and ICP monitoring
• Multisystem organ dysfunction and failure care; 12-lead EKG/ECG
