Per Diem ICU RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Per Diem ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California. The 28-bed unit uses electronic charting and supports ventilated patients, invasive lines and continuous infusions.

• Monitor critically ill adults and geriatrics
• Manage arterial lines, central lines and PICC lines
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Administer IV sedation and blood products
• Support ventilated patients and perform suctioning
• Assess rhythms, ABGs and neurologic status

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• CPI, MAB or SAAM certification
• 1 year of ICU unit experience
• Community hospital experience
• Arterial line, central line, PICC line, ventilated patient care and electronic charting experience

• Neuro intensive care and stroke care
• Cardiac surgery and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Respiratory support, chest tube and BiPAP or CPAP management
• Traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and multisystem organ dysfunction care
