Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit uses Meditech. It treats high-acuity patients and supports stroke, sepsis and behavioral health care.

• Triage and assess emergency patients
• Monitor and stabilize patients with urgent and complex needs
• Assist with stroke and sepsis protocols
• Support airway management and central line care
• Care for patients with behavioral health needs
• Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC
• 2-3 years of emergency department experience
• Completion of 2-3 travel assignments
• Emergency assessment, triage and stabilization skills

• High-acuity emergency department experience
• Fast-paced, high-volume emergency department experience
• ENPC, NRP and NIH Stroke Scale
