Travel ED RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a Level I trauma, comprehensive stroke and chest pain center hospital on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics and uses Epic. Typical ratios are 4:5.

• Assess patients with emergency, trauma, stroke and chest pain needs
• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition
• Administer ordered treatments and support urgent interventions
• Coordinate care with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and social service teams
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in Epic
• Support care for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending licensure accepted
• ACLS, BLS, PALS and TNCC certifications, TNCC before start
• 2 years emergency department experience
• 1 year Level I trauma facility experience or 2 years Level II trauma facility experience
• Pediatric patient care experience
• Epic charting system experience
