Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in an acute care hospital in Salem, Virginia on a 13-week contract using Meditech charting.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Assess and stabilize acute conditions
• Assist with RSI, sepsis care, stroke protocols, and central line support
• Support behavioral health care in the emergency setting
• Coordinate transfers and patient handoffs
• Document care in the electronic medical record

• Current Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 2 to 3 years of emergency department experience
• Completion of 2 to 3 travel assignments

• High-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume emergency department experience
• Experience with 5:1 patient ratios
• ENPC, NRP, and NIH Stroke Scale knowledge
