Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in the emergency department on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The 27-bed unit uses Meditech and typically runs 4:1 to 6:1 ratios. The setting is fast paced and high volume, with high-acuity patients, behavioral health cases, stroke care, and sepsis management.

• Provide emergency nursing care for high-acuity patients
• Triage and prioritize patients in a fast-paced unit
• Assist with RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol care, and tPA administration
• Support central line placement and other emergent procedures
• Care for behavioral health patients and maintain a safe environment
• Coordinate transfers and communicate with the care team

• Current Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• 2-3 years of emergency room experience
• 2-3 completed travel assignments
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• TNCC certification
• ENPC, NRP, or NIH certification
• High-acuity, high-volume emergency department experience
