Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit uses Meditech and serves fast-paced, high-acuity patients needing rapid assessment and stabilization.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients
• Assist with RSI, sepsis care, stroke protocol, and tPA support
• Support central line care and other urgent interventions
• Care for behavioral health patients in the emergency room
• Coordinate transfers and EMTALA-related documentation
• Document care in Meditech and collaborate with the care team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience
• 2-3 completed travel assignments
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• High-acuity, high-volume emergency department experience
• Experience with patient ratios of 5:1
• ENPC, NRP, or NIH certification
