Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit is a fast-paced emergency room with Meditech charting and patient ratios of 4:1 to 6:1.

• Assess and stabilize patients with urgent and emergent needs
• Administer medications and support acute treatment plans
• Assist with RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocol care
• Provide care for behavioral health patients in the emergency room
• Support central line care and other bedside procedures
• Coordinate transfers and communicate with the care team
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• 2-3 years of emergency department experience
• 2-3 completed travel assignments
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

• High-acuity, high-volume emergency department experience
• Experience with 5:1 patient ratios
• ENPC, NRP, or NIH certification
