Travel ED RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit has 38 beds across rapid, main, and psych safe areas and uses Meditech. Ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, arterial lines, Belmont support, and chest tubes are used.

• Assess and prioritize emergency patients by acuity
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and support emergency interventions
• Assist with chest tube care and port placement procedures
• De-escalate agitated patients using safe communication techniques
• Document care in Meditech and collaborate with the team

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Prioritization and time management skills
• De-escalation course
