Travel ED RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 38-bed unit has three care areas, including a psych-safe area, and uses Meditech. Ventilatory support, invasive monitoring, and behavioral de-escalation are part of the setting.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Assess and stabilize patients across the department
• Monitor ventilatory support and invasive lines
• Assist with chest tube and port procedures
• De-escalate behavioral crises and support psych-safe care
• Document care in Meditech and coordinate with the team
• Communicate changes in condition to providers

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Emergency department prioritization and time management skills
• De-escalation course
