Travel ED RN in Hopewell, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Hopewell, Virginia. The unit has 22 beds, uses Meditech, and serves adult and pediatric patients with a 1:4 ratio.

• Assess patients and prioritize emergency care
• Start and maintain IV access for adult and pediatric patients
• Assist with cardioversion, central lines, pacemaker checks, and cardiac arrest care
• Support code stroke and code sepsis protocols
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs
• Prepare patients and rooms for sutures and abscess care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
• Strong adult and pediatric IV insertion skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Trauma experience
• TNCC certification
• Meditech experience
