Travel ED RN in Hopewell, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will support emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Hopewell, Virginia. The unit has 22 beds with a vertical space area and uses Meditech. Nurses care for adults and children at a 1:4 ratio.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients
• Start and maintain adult and pediatric IV access
• Assist with cardioversion, central line placement, and pacemaker interrogation
• Support cardiac arrest, code stroke, and code sepsis response
• Obtain EKGs and prepare suture and abscess care supplies
• Monitor patients on bedside telemetry equipment
• Communicate changes in condition clearly with the care team

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
• Strong adult and pediatric IV insertion skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Trauma experience
• TNCC
• Meditech experience
