Travel ED RN in Hopewell, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Hopewell, Virginia. The unit has 22 beds and uses Meditech, with 1:4 ratios.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Start and maintain adult and pediatric IV access
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and support code responses
• Assist with cardioversion, central line placement and pacemaker checks
• Prepare patients and supplies for stroke and sepsis protocols
• Set up suture and abscess care and document patient care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI certifications
• Strong adult and pediatric IV insertion skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Trauma experience
• TNCC
• Meditech experience
