Travel ED RN in Corpus Christi, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a freestanding emergency department on a 13-week contract in Corpus Christi, Texas. The unit has 6 rooms, 4 vertical beds, 3:4 nurse-to-patient ratios, and uses MEDITECH; common equipment includes BiPAP, a ventilator, nebulizers, and emergency response tools.

• Assess patients with urgent and emergent needs
• Perform IV access, blood draws, and EKG support
• Assist with Foley catheter placement, wound care, and orthopedic splinting
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and care team
• Document care in the electronic record

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Emergency Department nursing experience
• Strong assessment, IV, and cardiac monitoring skills
