Travel ED RN in Corpus Christi, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care for low-acuity emergency patients in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Corpus Christi, Texas. The unit uses Meditech, serves ESI 4 and 5 patients with a 1:4 ratio, and may see ESI 1 through 6.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Document assessments, interventions, and vital signs in the chart
• Administer medications and support IV therapy
• Perform wound care, splinting, urine collection, and lab draws
• Assist with care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis patients
• Collaborate with charge, triage, nurses, and support staff

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• Trauma Nursing Core Course, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support

• More than two years of emergency department experience
• CEN or TCRN certification
• CPI training
