Travel ED RN in Corpus Christi, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a 13-week contract at a freestanding emergency department in Corpus Christi, Texas. The 15-bed unit uses Meditech and commonly manages sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma with 1:4 ratios depending on acuity. Baxter pumps, Hamilton vents, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers support patient care.

• Perform emergency assessments and reassessments
• Administer medications and start IVs
• Provide splinting and wound care
• Monitor patients and cardiac rhythms
• Document care in the electronic record
• Support airway and ventilator care as needed
• Coordinate with EMT-P staff and the care team

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, and PALS or ENPC certifications
• Compassion, sense of urgency, and teamwork
• Rapid recognition of sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma

• Airway management and ventilator experience
• Strong critical thinking skills
