Travel ED RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital unit in Austin, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech, and maintains a 4:1 patient ratio.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Monitor vital signs and respond to acute changes
• Assist with IV therapy, medication administration, and bedside procedures
• Support physicians with LP, intubations, TNK, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Document care accurately in the charting system
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate safe patient flow
• Maintain readiness for changing emergency department needs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC by start date, ENPC by start date
• Accredited nursing program
• Emergency department nursing skills

• More than 2 years of emergency department experience
• Meditech experience
• Strong team collaboration
• Ability to anticipate patient and department needs
