Travel Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide cardiac monitoring and bedside care in an acute care hospital on a 13 week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit has 29 beds, a 1:4 ratio, and Meditech charting. It cares for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and values responsive, courteous care.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and EKG strips
• Assess and care for post cardiac procedure patients
• Administer and titrate IV medications
• Assist with IV starts, NGT placement, chest tube care, Foley insertion, and temporary pacing support
• Reinforce bedside handoff, teaching, and patient communication
• Collaborate with charge nurse, secretaries, and PCTs

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience
• Skill in interpreting telemetry strips and EKGs
