Travel Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide cardiac monitoring and post-procedure care in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit has 29 beds, a 1:4 patient ratio, and uses Meditech.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips and EKGs
• Provide care for post-cardiac procedure patients, including ablations, catheterizations, open heart recovery, and pacemaker placements
• Administer and titrate IV medications as ordered
• Perform and assist with procedures such as IV starts, NGT maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker care, and Foley insertion
• Coordinate care with charge nurses, unit secretaries, and PCTs
• Use documentation systems accurately and maintain timely charting
• Support patient communication, comfort, and bedside education

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Cardiac telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience
• Skill in interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with IV medication titration and post-cardiac procedure care
