Travel Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide cardiac monitoring and bedside care in a hospital telemetry unit on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 29-bed unit uses Meditech and serves cardiac and post-procedure patients with a 1:4 ratio and support from charge nurses, unit secretaries, and PCTs.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips
• Administer and titrate IV medications
• Provide care for post cardiac procedure patients
• Assist with IV starts, NGTs, chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and Foley catheters
• Document care in Meditech
• Collaborate with the care team to address patient needs

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience
• EKG and telemetry strip interpretation skills
• IV medication titration skills
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
