Travel Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide cardiac telemetry care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 29-bed unit uses Meditech and maintains 1:4 patient ratios with charge nurse, unit secretary, and PCT support.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and interpret EKG strips
• Provide care for cardiac telemetry and PCU/ICU patients
• Deliver post-cardiac procedural care after ablations, catheterizations, open heart recovery, and permanent pacemaker placement
• Administer and titrate IV medications
• Perform IV starts, Foley insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, and chest tube care
• Support temporary pacemakers and bedside communication
• Promote patient-centered communication and bedside shift report

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care
• Skill in reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips
• Skill in titrating IV medications
