Travel Surgical Tech in Virginia

A Travel Surgical Tech Surgical Technician will assist as a first assistant in a labor and delivery unit on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The unit uses AWHONN ratio goals and charts in CPN and Meditech.

• Assist with labor, delivery, recovery and triage care
• Circulate for cesarean deliveries and support the operating room
• Prepare instruments, supplies and sterile fields for procedures
• Support first-hour newborn care and breastfeeding assistance
• Assist with fetal monitoring and patient observation during labor
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, hospitalists, anesthesia and neonatology teams

• Current intermediate fetal heart monitoring within previous 2 years
• Labor and delivery experience
• NRP certification
• BLS certification

• Experience at facilities with over 3000 births per year
