Travel Surgical Tech in Asheville, NC

A Travel Certified Surgical Technologist will support operating room cases in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit uses Cerner and handles general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastics, urology, burn and trauma cases.

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile supplies
• Set up instruments, equipment and trays for surgical cases
• Maintain sterile technique and support the sterile field
• Assist surgeons during general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedic, plastic, urology, burn and trauma procedures
• Handle counts, specimens and case documentation
• Support turnover and case readiness for the next procedure

• NBSTSA certification
• Skills checklist level 3 or higher in neuro, orthopedics and vascular
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
• Strong sterile technique and instrument handling skills
