Travel Sterile Processing Tech in Pomona, CA

A Travel Sterile Processing Technician will support instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization in an acute care hospital sterile processing unit on a 13-week contract in Pomona, California. The unit supports a range of surgical services and follows ANSI/AAMI, AORN, and Title 22 standards.

• Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets and case carts
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and high-level disinfection processes
• Monitor steam sterilization with biological and chemical indicators
• Inspect, document, and prepare trays for use
• Support specialty sets for ENT, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, and urology

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CRCST or CBSPD certification
• BLS certification
• 1 year of acute hospital sterile processing experience
• Knowledge of ANSI/AAMI, AORN, and Title 22 standards
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, push and pull carts, stand for long periods, communicate clearly, perform basic math, and use computers

• Instrument tracking system experience
