Travel Social Worker in Spokane, WA

A Travel Social Worker Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will provide crisis evaluations and level-of-care recommendations in an acute care hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The unit serves adults and pediatrics with mental health and substance use concerns and uses Epic in a teaching Level II trauma center.

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics
• Evaluate danger to self, danger to others, and grave disability
• Provide level-of-care recommendations to the emergency department team
• Complete biopsychosocial, mental health, and substance use assessments
• Document findings and clinical reports in Epic
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary staff and community resources
• Support discharge planning, referrals, and contingency plans

• Washington Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, full licensure
• 3 years of crisis assessment experience
• Experience with involuntary holds, crisis intervention, and biopsychosocial assessment
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with adults and pediatrics in emergency or acute care settings

• Psychiatric and behavioral health experience
• Care coordination and case management
• Family education and advocacy
